Welcome from Redbird Arena! A big crowd is expected to see the I-74 rivalry between ISU and Bradley. The Braves won two weeks ago in Peoria, 83-77. That's only ISU loss in last seven games. The Redbirds are gathering momentum and hope to keep going tonight. Fire away with questions. Also got some recruiting news. Who wants it?
Just for you, Buckeye Girl. Couple important recruits here tonight. Biggest one is 6-6, 225-pd PF MiKyle McIntosh, a Canadian and good friend of Kaza Keane who attends 22ft Academy in Kentucky. ISU needs some inside muscle next season and he would fit the bill. Bad news, Kentucky asst watched him the other night. McIntosh only played couple min and got hurt knee. Also here is Joliet West sr shooting guard Morris Dunnigan and Lincoln College's Aaron Simpson, former ISU recruit.
Good section turnout 25 minutes before tip. End zone is filled and so is Section D. Very well done, students.
You are a crazy Buckeye Girl ... It would be very difficult, but going 4-1 in last five not totally impossible. Figure they have to slip somewhere. But you never know. They are really playing well now.
I would say Northern Iowa. They are always really tough to play against. ISU handled them pretty easy last year St. Louis, but they also are hitting their stride.
Tough question. It might. Greg Lansing was the favorite but last night's loss hurt his cause.
Randy Reinhardt says 8,008. I think about 8,800.
Get the plane reservation, baltimore bird.
I put that info down a little bit Boomer. I still think we don't know next year's makeup yet. Looking for a post player along with a wing. Then we'll be able to better tell.
Or in the 4-5 game. Funny how that stuff works out sometimes.
Yes. It's the first time in my seven years on the beat that one of the game's wasn't on the weekend. Not sure if that was planned or not. Maybe the schools thought this game draws the same on weekday or weekend and would rather keep a weekend date for someone else.
All that matters is getting in the top six. I would love to see Indy State at 3 and the Redbirds at 6.
I agree. If Johnny keeps playing like he has the last 3 games, ISU is gonna be a tough out. Then Kaza can come in and play 10-12 minutes and not feel like the weight of the world is on him.
Same here, Baltimore Bird. That's it for me, too. We will chat again at 6:30 Sunday night before ISU entertains Wichita State. Adios.
