There are people out there! Hurrah. I don't think the Redbirds win tonight. NU has some experienced, good wings in Drew Crawford and Cobb.
I put a picture on Twitter. Not smart enough to put it on this.
Don't have the starting lineups yet. Will be interesting to see who Dan Muller starts. My guess is Middlebrooks, Jones, Lee, Hunter and Lofton or Knight
Definitely. I really like what I've seen from Middlebrooks. He's not afraid of contact and really knows his role is to crash boards and get putbacks.
Still 21 minutes left to tip. they don't have to declare starters until 10 minutes before.
I definitely think it will be into middle of December before rotation is trimmed down. I would like to see Tony Wills get a shot. I think he could do some things.
That's difficult to say. It could be anywhere from 10 to 17 or 18. Really depends how some of key guys develop especially Lofton and Knight. I will tell you the nonconf sked isn't too shabby. Even teams like Chicago State and Vermont are not gimmes.
definitely agree with that. Missouri state is the team that I think everyone should watch. Lot of good freshmen talent last year plus get back Gulley and have a graduate transfer at forward. They could be the lead of the 3-10 pack.
It's too bad ISU couldn't redshirt Reggie Lynch this season. He would have really benefitted from a redshirt season to get a fifth year, but they just couldn't do it with their numbers in the frontcourt.
Totally agree. There is definitely a learning curve for JCs when they come to this level. It takes awhile for most to figure out what's a good shot and what is not.
Just like he did last year. I talked to Bobby Hunter other day and ISU really didn't start recruiting him hard until his season was over. That's probably the way it will go down again this season. Most HS guys that ISU would have wanted are already off the board.
Sorry some old friends came up. I would think ISU needs to put Lofton on Crawford. Got to have someone with size on him. Cobb is good too. Biggest key is not falling behind early. If gets that way could turn to rout. ISU starters are Jones, Middlebrooks, Lee, Hunter and Lofton
Actually a decent crowd showing up here tonight. Plenty of red throughout the crowd. Weather was rainy and windy when I came in about 2 hours ago.
Fans piling in fast now. Gonna be about 5,000 I would say. Just put a pix on Twitter at Pg_Benson
Got a chance to talk with ISU graduate Brian James in his office earlier. Great guy. Former ISU baseball player who said he had about 13 at-bats, but loved it. Chris Collins made great move to add a veteran to his staff like Brian.
Have to say really pathetic showing of NU students.
I believe renovation is part of the plan. Sure Chris Collins wouldn't have come here unless it was promised.
Paris Lee got a nice ovation when announced first. All Redbird are. Nice to see plenty of ISu fans here.
Game about to start. Thanks for participating. Hopefully you will all join on Wednesday at 6:30 before ISU plays Manhattan at RBA.
