Hello from the Ford Center in downtown Evansville. Big game for both teams in their fight to stay out of Valley Tournament play-in round. I think ISU has put the Wichita State debacle behind them and are ready to move on. No choice, really. Lemme have some questions ...
Still the same prognosis, last I heard.
I see them sitting over there. If I have a chance, I will let them know.
I haven't spoken specifically to Jackie since the incident. He's a vet. He will put it behind him. Got to say I never saw him spread either leg quite so much on a rebound before, but it definitely was a no-call.
That's the first thing I looked at. No, don't think the Redbirds will see either of those three officials rest of year.
I just think Jordan is caught in a number's game right now. Muller has decided to shorten his rotation, so one of the bigs is the odd man out. He doesn't want to sacrifice any minutes for Jackie, plus he likes what Wilkins and Ekey are giving. I think Jordan will still be needed at some point this season and needs to be ready. That's difficult when you're not playing.
I heard there was a screaming match outside the locker rooms, which aren't that far away from each other at Redbird. Of course, no one wants to talk about it on the record. We all know there is plenty of bad blood from last year's tourney and Dana coming to ISU. It will be interesting to play the Shocks in the Lou again.
I think it's about the same in the seven years I've covered the Valley. I actually liked Roberts Stadium. Really a unique place. Not many like that anymore. This place is ultra nice, though, and should be easier to recruit.
Of course he did. And, if you got ISU's take, they would say the opposite. Just consider how Marshall acted like a little kid when he got beat at last year's tourney. I think that pretty much says who is at fault.
I will give Marshall this. He is an outstanding coach. He knows it, too.
Has anyone noticed the frames of Marshall's glasses this year are gold? Are you kidding me.
Don't know anythign about that, but if I remember right that has happened in the past, too.
I'm not sure if she was or not. Didn't hear anything about that. wouldn't surprise me
I think so, especially bc I don't see anyway losing at home to Missouri State. So 9-9 would probably be fifth and play Indy State. Bring on the Trees!
He is practicing. Not sure if you can tell how well he's doing. I expect to see him on court next season. He has next court date on Friday. Stay tuned.
No. McDermott will be unanimous except Creighton votes will go to Jackie. Can't vote for your own player, media included.
Sorry, B, gotta stay neutral.
Good question. I think probably Zeke because he has a little more length. But in this game, bc Evansville has smaller guards like Taylor and Cox, I can see Cousin getting a couple minutes.
I agree, Buckeye Girl. That wouldn't totally shock me. Man, this place is dead. About tip time. Thanks. Will do next Wed from Redbird Arena at 6:30 p.m. vs. Missouri State. Not going to Utah State, so no chat. Thanks again everyone.
